From the 5 Peaks website:
Golden Ears Provincial Park is a Provincial Park in British Columbia, Canada at 555.9 km². It is named after the prominent twin peaks which are commonly referred to as Golden Ears.
Combination of single / double track terrain. Moderate technical difficulty.
The Sport Course is 8.5 km, 324m elevation gain, and the Enduro is 13 km, 550m elevation gain.
We're using this series primarily as prep for the 2017 Spartan Race Sun Peaks Beast, where we want to go pedal to the metal this year and finish strong instead of "just finishing", but we've also heard that the 5 Peaks crew put on great events, and the trail running community are a fun bunch to hang out with! I know I really enjoyed my first trail race experience in 2016 (despite my accident cutting my race short), so I'm really looking forward to it.
Both Coach JP and Coach Julia are entered for this event, running the "Enduro", which is supposed to be about 13 km in length.
