From the 5 Peaks website:
This course features some gnarly singletrack, and hardcore hills up doubletrack trails. The Sport course has a nice selection of not too technical, and some more technical sections to test your fast feet. The Enduro course has a super technical add-on that takes you running past 2 beautiful alpine lakes, if you have the opportunity to look up as you dodge hundreds of roots along the way.
The Sport Course is 7.5km, 283m elevation gain and the Enduro is 10.5km, 448m elevation gain.
We're using this series primarily as prep for the 2017 Spartan Race Sun Peaks Beast, where we want to go pedal to the metal this year and finish strong instead of "just finishing", but we've also heard that the 5 Peaks crew put on great events, and the trail running community are a fun bunch to hang out with! I know I really enjoyed my first trail race experience in 2016 (despite my accident cutting my race short), so I'm really looking forward to it.
Both Coach JP and Coach Julia are entered for this event, running the "Enduro", which is supposed to be about 10.5 km in length.
