A world-class trail race, right in our own backyard on beautiful Sumas Mountain? Sign us up!
Yes, this is "that race", where Coach JP broke his ankle during the inaugural running in 2016, and grade-2 sprained the same ankle in 2017. Yes, I'm running it again, and no, I'm not crazy...LOL!
Combine some really challenging terrain with a competitive local field, and you've got the perfect recipe for me making an ass of myself. This year will be different, however! With the experience gained over the last two attempts at this event, and my trail running experiences in the 5 Peaks series last year, I'm confident that the third time will be the charm, and I'll finish uninjured in 2018.
The race supports a great cause (water projects in Ethiopia), and 100% of the race's operational costs are covered by sponsors, so 100% of the funds raised by the entrants (you have to fundraise to enter) go directly to the projects.
