Small Group Personal Training at The BTG Garage in Abbotsford

Who This Training Is For

If you want to get stronger, move better, and feel more capable in your everyday life, you will fit right in here. You do not need to be in shape to start. You just need to show up ready to work and ready to grow.

Training at The BTG Garage is a great match if you are someone who:

  • Values consistent effort more than chasing perfection

  • Wants structured training that actually moves the needle

  • Appreciates humour, camaraderie, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere

  • Enjoys being coached and is open to learning and adjusting along the way

  • Wants a community where encouragement is normal and comparison is not

  • Likes the idea of becoming genuinely stronger, fitter, and more resilient without the hype or the ego

If you prefer a highly competitive atmosphere, want very high intensity training every session, or are not looking to be coached closely in a small group setting, this probably will not feel like the right fit. And that is totally ok.

Why I Love In-Person Training

  • Coaching people in person remains one of the deepest joys in my professional life. There is something powerful about watching someone grow in confidence as they master movements, find their strength, and realise they are capable of far more than they believed.

  • The energy in the room during our small group sessions is something special. People connect, support each other, challenge themselves, and bring a sense of community that is hard to put into words. That connection genuinely feeds my soul.

  • The BTG Garage was created so that people could train in a space that feels safe, supportive, and uplifting. A space where capability grows, friendships form, and training becomes one of the best parts of someone’s week.

If that resonates with you, there is a good chance you will feel at home here.

How We Train at The BTG Garage

Training at The BTG Garage blends structured strength work, personalised coaching, and a genuinely supportive small group environment. No more than four clients train at a time, which means every session feels focused, attentive, and tailored to the people in the room.

Here is what makes training here unique:

  • Strength first programming built for long term capability and durability

  • Intelligent progressions that match your actual readiness on any given day

  • Coaching that watches your form and adapts your session based on how you are moving

  • Technique cues that help you improve without overwhelming you

  • Modifications for injuries, mobility limitations, or low energy days

  • A predictable weekly rhythm that helps you stay consistent

  • A community that encourages effort, celebrates small wins, and makes training genuinely enjoyable

  • A culture of respect and inclusivity for people of all identities, backgrounds, and walks of life

I want you to leave each session feeling accomplished, confident, and capable rather than crushed or overwhelmed.

Our Community Culture

This is the heart of The BTG Garage and it is non negotiable.

Inclusivity

Everyone is welcome and everyone is respected.

Gender identity, faith, background, orientation, ability level, and body size have no bearing on your belonging here.

Creating a safe and affirming space is personal for me and one of the most important aspects of what we do.

Humility

You do not need to know how to do anything before you arrive.

You do need to be open, curious, and coachable.

No Ego

We train hard, but nobody postures or competes for attention.

Consistency

Progress comes from showing up even on the messy days.

Humour and Camaraderie

We work hard. We laugh hard.

Training is serious work but it should also feel enjoyable and human.

If this sounds like the kind of environment where you would thrive, you will probably love it here.

Current Session Availability at The BTG Garage

Because this is a home based facility with a strict cap of four clients per session, space is extremely limited.

Most of our clients have been with us for four years or more. Turnover is very low and we only have a handful of openings in a typical year.

We currently have more availability than usual due to some long time members retiring or moving out of the area over the past couple of years, but this is uncommon. Openings are based on both schedule fit and community fit rather than simply filling spots.

Our Schedule and Minimum Commitment

We hold one hour training sessions from Monday to Thursday, with a mix of mid morning and late afternoon or early evening times (up to six different session times in a day). We do not offer early morning, late night, or weekend sessions.

Most members train twice per week, which is our minimum commitment. The most common schedules are Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, and members usually attend the same session days and times each week.

These consistent training rhythms help create the community atmosphere and steady progress The BTG Garage is known for.

If you are interested, the best place to start is the application.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Each session is one hour from start to finish, including the warm-up.

  • Our minimum commitment is two sessions per week, usually Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday to allow for a full rest day between sessions. While we do have a couple of members who train three or four times per week with us, most of our members train twice per week.

  • At this time, all in person training at The BTG Garage is delivered in small groups of up to four clients.

  • We do our best to help you make up missed sessions when space permits, but this depends on availability in other time slots.

  • Memberships are billed monthly in advance by pre-authorized credit card only, and we require an initial three month commitment to ensure you have enough time to settle in, build consistency, and start seeing meaningful progress. After that initial period, memberships continue on a month to month basis with no long term contracts.

Our small group format was intentionally chosen to make high quality training affordable for most people while still providing close coaching and a personalised experience.

We will discuss pricing in more detail after your application is reviewed so we can confirm schedule fit and community fit first.

How the Application Process Works

Applying does not commit you to anything. It simply helps me understand whether we are a good match.

Step 1: Apply for a Spot

Tell me about your goals, your training background, your schedule, and what you are hoping for.

Step 2: I Review Your Application

I look at schedule alignment, your goals, and whether you would thrive in the BTG community.

Step 3: If It Is a Good Fit

You will be invited to a short consultation where we discuss details, expectations, and pricing.

Step 4: If It Is Not the Right Fit or There Is No Space

I will still point you toward other options or online programs so you have a clear next step.
